Synopsis of Bbuddah Hoga Tera Baap:
The director of this movie ‘Jagannath Puri’ tries to reconstruct Amitabh’s evergreen “Angry young Man’ Avatar. Amitabh Bachchan plays a 60 year old sharp shooter. ‘Viju.’ He comes back to Mumbai from Paris in order to protect his son ACP Karan (Sonu Sood) from the mafia.
Sonu Sood is unaware to his Baap ‘Amitabh Bachchan’s behavior. There are several parallel story lines like Amitabh Bachchan’s relation with his estranged wife ‘Sita” played (Hema Malini). Kamini (Raveena Tandon) and he plays the role of Viju’s (Amitabh Bachchan’s) previous girlfriend and is absolutely besotted and madly in love with him. To add to all this is Kamini’s daughter Amrita (Charmy) who is really confused about her mom’s relationship with Viju.
Not to forget another track where Sonu Sood is in love with Tanya (Sonal Chauhan)
Story Treatment
The Director has several tracks going in this movie but they mix together beautifully due to a brilliant and hard script and smooth editing. The story does not drop focus and Amitabh Bachchan’s character is wicker beautifully to make it believable. All the other characters including that of the villain ‘Prakash Raj’ are there for a reason.
Why to see
Amitabh Bachchan is in his elements. He certainly is the star of this movie.
