Movie Synopsis:

Salman Khan & Asin in Ready

Prem (Salman Khan) lives with their father (Mahesh Manjrekar) and uncles (Manoj Pahwa & Manoj Joshi). Sanjana (Asin), an orphan, lands in India to be with her maternal uncles (Akhilendra Mishra & Sharat Saxena), who are greedy and want to usurp her property. Prem, who falls in love with Sanjana, decides to teach her maternal uncles a lesson. Both the maternal uncles, who are sworn enemies, want Sanjana to get married to their respective brothers-in-law, so that they can put their hands on Sanjana’s property. But Prem makes a fool of them by getting friendly with them and making his family pose as billionaires.

One of the Prem’s uncle performs as the manager from the World Bank, who converts to the maternal uncles that Sanjana’s father owed the bank millions of dollars. Either they sell their property or disown the girl. Circumstances clashes the maternal uncles to accept Prem as the prospective husband of Sanjana. But Prem’s game plan gets disclosed on his wedding day.

Movie Review:

READY is boisterous, crazy, irrational, comic book type, fully make-believe with the desi blast of songs and dances. So those inquiring its makers, Where’s the story line?, ought to shut up since the question is simply irrelevant. READY was never expected to have a ground-breaking story. The only thing it was supposed to have is Salman, Salman, more Salman… and only Salman. So just relax and savor the antics of Salman, who talks with the viewer like never before. He knows the game rules and is a master of it.

READY might not boast of an Imaginative or exploring story, but director Anees Bazmee makes a packs of entertainment in those two hours. Actually, you hardly get time to divert on anything else but the goings-on. Like I pointed out at the very beginning, it’s a satisfying entertainer, perfectly in synchronize with what one would’ve expected after watched its first trailer a few months ago.

Any faults? Yes, the screenplay isn’t interesting in the first hour. There are few such parts that don’t work, while a few do bring off to make you smile and laugh not because they are laughable, but because they are extremely humorous and ludicrous. In fact, this movie keeps freakish behavior , which may give an idea that the writing is demode and non-current at different places.

READY has that level of music which would expect from an entertainer. Tracks have a larger-than-life feel and gel well with the content. The action sequences, not many though, are done in an tempting mix of masti and crime.

Performance Review:
Salman Khan proceeds his good act with enthusiasm. He’s the spirit of the movie and the aim why READY works. Asin acts good in parts. At times you realize that she’s got it right, but there are scene where she looks ill at comfort. Paresh Rawal is fantastic and performs beautifully. I’d like to single out one more actor – comedian Sudesh Lehri – who makes a solid outcome. He’s unique and brings the house down with his style of comedies.

The movie has many actors in supporting roles and the ones who appear are Akhilendra Mishra, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sharat Saxena and Anooradha Patel . Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Kangna, Zarine Khan, Chunky Pandey and Arbaaz Khan appear in movie.

Finally, READY is specially for the Indian masses and for those who enjoy typically masala formula films. The film congratulates itself with super songs (‘Character Dheela’ & ‘Dhinka Chika’), jokes and comic punches and of course, Salman Khan, the loved one of the Indian masses and the hero of this film. If you are Salman’s fan, you cannot miss this one. Even if you are not, watch READY as a stress-releasing concept that makes you smile, laugh and joys in those two hours.
